TSIRC Metal Waste Legacy Stockpile

ARO was engaged by the Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) to provide project management services for the TSIRC Metal Waste Legacy Stockpile Clean-up project. This initiative focused on the collection and recycling of legacy metal waste across 15 Outer Island Communities. The project included the removal and disposal of derelict vehicles, abandoned heavy equipment and machinery, and various ancillary metal waste such as white goods, metal construction debris, and other scrap materials. Cleanup efforts extended to both community areas and local landfills, aiming to improve environmental conditions and promote sustainable waste management practices within the region.
